Checking out

I checked out some books from my friend Nancy’s library.  When I say library I’m not kidding.  There are books busting out of her floor boards.  Okay, maybe not out of the floor boards.  But she really has a lot of books.  To make it even better, going through her books is actually more like shopping in a Barnes and Noble than even a library.  You know what I mean.  Reading at a B&N is a different experience.  You stop by the Starbucks, buy yourself a tea and a cookie (I always request that they warm up the cookie and they very kindly do), pick up a stack of brand new freshly printed books and magazines and hunker down in a corner for some quality reading time.

It’s basically my idea of heaven, with a subjects ranging from food, life, business and design.

So I took them all and stuffed them into my bag and ran like a thief in the night.

She may or may not ever get them back.
